Vintage Shoe Clips 1950s Pink Striped Curved Rectangle Shoe Clips
Pretty pink rectangle blocks are grooved on the front to make them seem striped. These are made of a lucite acrylic and are on wide sturdy clips. So sweet!
This pair measures about 2 1/8 inches wide by 1 3/8 inches or 57mm x 36mm.
Shoe Clips have been part of the fashion scene for at least the last hundred years. They first became commercially available in the 1920s and their popularity soared in the 1930s during the Great Depression. You may not have been able to afford a new pair of shoes, but you could buy this clip which would make your old shoes look new. Cycling around as fashion does there was a surge of popularity in the 1950s and 1960s and again in the 1980s.
I think we are due another round of shoe clip glory. If we buy one good pair of shoes instead of multiple that will fall apart quickly, these are a great environmentally friendly option, and a great way to make your shoes match your outfit no matter which outfit it is.
Measurements are made to the nearest millimeter.
